Addie is a director, producer, and educator invested in the regional theater movement, new play development, and theater for all-ages. She works as Associate Producer at the Guthrie Theater.

Addie grew up in the Twin Cities acting in children's theater. She attended Dartmouth College, the National Theater Institute, and then committed to Teach for America where she taught English and Drama in the Bay Area.

Meanwhile, Addie pursued fellowships in theater directing and artistic administration: she spent a year at Cutting Ball Theater in San Francisco and two seasons with Minneapolis' Mixed Blood Theatre where she was the National New Play Network Producer-in-Residence.

A graduate of Brown University/ Trinity Rep's MFA Directing program, Addie has directed new plays, workshops, and musicals at theaters across the country. Her productions have been described as "imaginative, playful, and elegant," "politically poignant," and "sophisticated while radiating the humanity, passion, and heart you'd find in the young adult section of the library."

She was in the 5th cohort of The National Director's Fellowship (NDF), serves on the board of Blue Water Theatre Company, and is a proud member of SDC (Stage Director's and Choreographer's Union).

Addie is represented by Sam Barickman at CAA. She lives in St. Paul with her two kids, husband, and dog.
