ABOUT

Addie is a director, producer, and educator. She is a recent graduate of the MFA Directing program from Brown University/ Trinity Rep. and is a current member of the NNPN/ O'Neill National Directors Fellowship.

As a director, Addie blurs the boundary between children's and adult theater and makes work aimed at all-ages audiences. Her productions have been described as imaginative, bare-bones, whimsical, elegant, frisky, playful, tender, politically poignant, and radiate the humanity, passion, and heart you'd find in the young adult section of the library.

After graduating from Dartmouth College, Addie obtained a teaching credential via Teach for America and worked as a middle school English and Drama teacher in The Bay Area. While teaching, Addie served as the Directing Fellow at Cutting Ball Theater.

Subsequently, Addie was the National New Play Network (NNPN) Producer-in-Residence at Mixed Blood Theatre and directed at various theaters including The Children's Theater, Playwright's Center, Mixed Blood, and The Guthrie.

In her spare time, Addie is engaged in civic theater practice, teaches at The National Theater Institute (NTI), works as a substitute teacher in New Haven, writes grants for Access Theater in NYC, and is a member of NNPN's strategic planning committee.
